Axel's Grind

Axel was celebrating the fact that he was finally a free agent. He wised up and dumped his bitch ex-girlfriend, but she had a way of turning up, like a bad penny, and he wasn't sure he'd ever be able to shake her. When sexy Melody Valentine showed up at his place, pretending to need his help, he thought that maybe his luck had changed. That was until she admitted to being a very capable police detective. When Melody broke the news that he was a suspect in a murder investigation, he was sure that he was being pranked. But that bad penny turned up once again and this time, she was found dead in an alley, and he was Melody Valentine's number one suspect.

Melody hated being wrong and she had a feeling that she wasn't when it came to Axel Lopez. He was bad news and just because her boss refused to see it, didn't make it any less true. She had gotten by on her abilities and instincts as a detective and Melody was sure that they weren't failing her now. One way or another, she planned on proving that she was right, even if it meant going against orders-again, and putting her job on the line. Yeah-the one thing Melody hated being was wrong and she knew in her gut that Axel Lopez was guilty of murder.
