fascinating inside look at vet medicine--and funny!

I really enjoyed Dr. Burgess's story, from the opening scene where he humorously struggles to complete his first dog spay, to the beautiful descriptions of the Oregon countryside, and (being a woman) I thought the romantic subplot was worthwhile too! I'd recommend it to anyone who loves animals, or is thinking of going into vet school, or if you just love to laugh!
