Shortly after Christmas 2022, neighbors were amazed to see a large white bird on a rooftop in Cypress, California. They had never seen anything quite like it. It was definitely bigger than a seagull. Luckily, there were enough people in the neighborhood who loved birds and quickly, the bird was identified. It was a Snowy Owl! How did he get here? Snowy Owls live way up in the Arctic North and Alaska, in the freezing temperatures, not in sunny Southern California. Young Amanda went to see the amazing stranger, working her way through the crowd of people with their expensive cameras. The Snowy Owl jumped up and flew to another rooftop showing his impressive four-foot wing span. Amanda decided to name the Snowy Owl " Feathers". The mystery remained. How did Feathers end up here, and did Santa have something to do with it? And more importantly, how was Feathers going to get home?
