Per usual, "How Not to Catch Fish" is an important must-have-to-carry-around piece from Marshall. When my 9-year-old and I read it, we take turns voicing the characters. It, too, is fun to hear the author's versions on CD. But, "How Not to Catch Fish" is more than the marvels of imagination! Add together the hilarity of these tales with their depth, Marshall's spirited yet serious voice, the fresh and light illustrations and glorious flute tones and the reader-listener has something very special to carry with them, and ponder over, the whole day through.
