I purchased this book for my rabbi's children (they already had 'Labels for Laibel') and I read it to them just the other week. They loved it, as did I! Rosenfield's book is exciting, rhythmic, and lovely for any family trying to teach their children that success comes through effort. I particularly like the illustration of the children's shabbos table. It is vibrant and lively.

What a delightful read! The illustrations are beautiful. I love the winter scenes! Mother will be home soon with a new baby sister and the boys are left at home with grandpa. What little treasures! They try so hard to prepare a properShabbos meal but cannot cook or make the delicacies! They work together, inspiring me and my own children as theymake a dinner no mother could resist! Oh to see the grandmotherand grandfather eating dinner with the whole family! It is something you don't see anymore! How wonderful! The entirestory is masterfully written in rhyme and I found it so enjoyable to read, I think I'll even read it alone! It is rarewhen one can find such a book!
