"Pearls from Sages, Poetry & Aphorisms" and features all the poems, aphorisms, axioms, thoughts and proverbs published in Lucifer magazine after Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891) travelled beyond the veil. The book is divided into four sections: Poetry; Aphorisms & Thoughts; Pearls from Sages; Gems from the Upanishads. After the death of the editor and founder of Lucifer magazine, Annie Besant (1847-1933) took over as editor, assisted by G. R. S. Mead (1863-1933). With the new editors, the structure and approach of the magazine changed considerably. For example, the first volume of The Lucifer Collection, entitled Poetry, Aphorisms and Thoughts, featured two hundred and twenty-seven poems published during the three and half years that Blavatsky was editor. In contrast, only twenty-seven poems were published in the six years when Besant and Mead were the editors. Apart from the visible differences in the editors' approach, it is worth noting that this volume is not just a compilation of literary works; it is an invitation to embark on a journey of self-discovery and understanding of the world around us.
