Wonderful and fun ideas for me and my kids

This book is a lifesaver for thinking of what to do with my 3 year-old daughter. It is full of simple, fun, inexpensive or free ideas we can do around the house without too much preparation or clean up time. There are activities to do in the kitchen, outside, on rainy days, for holidays, and even math, crafts and writing activities. My daughter is still too young for some of them, but with so many ideas I never run out of things to do with her before I run out of energy to do them. Some activities take as little as 10 minutes, while others can last a couple of hours. The best part is it keeps her from wanting to watch TV all day or moping around because she can't play with her friends all the time. Also, it keeps me from tearing my hair out playing children's board games or trying to play toys with her all day long. Each activity is different from the others so even I have a measure of fun. Looking through the book, most of the ideas require direct adult involvement, so you're not going to be able to plop one of the activities in front of your child and then leave to do your own thing, which may or may not be a plus depending on your mood.

Just as wonderful as the Toddler Busy book

I ordered the two books together and they are highly recommended. Ms. Kuffner doesn't repeat (much) in the books so it's worth it to have both. My 3 year old and his 11 year old sister love the activities in this book as well as many adults who have played with us. I have been using both books to put together a homeschool preschool program for my 2 sons, and they're great for that.

A Mother's Sanity Boost.

Hundred's of great, fun, and SIMPLE activities a child can do with limited supervision. I don't know who will enjoy this book more--the child (because of the activities) or the parent (because of the free time and the happily occupied child). Get one today!
