I read this book years ago, probably when it first came out in paperback. I also re-read it more recently and still found the book enjoyable and especially creepy. A great book in the tradition of H.P. Lovecraft's uncanny occurrences in the mundane world. Suggestively spooky without massive unnecessary gore. This book will certainly make you look at taxidermy in a different way.
Wow...WOW! Sca-RY!

I can hardly tell anything about this book without giving too much away; just read the synopsis for enough. If you want to know more about it, read it. But I must warn you first: keep the lights on, and maybe make sure every so often that there /isn't/ anything underneath your bed first.I never /was/ fond of taxidermy, and now, well...now it's just plain scary.Oh, God, those animals...AAAGH!
