This is arguably the best books of the series. And by which I mean that Secret is JUST AS GOOD and it's a constant battle between which I love more.
But seriously. Gabriel is one of my favorite characters of any book ever. And so is Layne. I have no problems with this book, I read it in one sitting, and I'm obsessing over it!
It's been a few years and it's one of the books that I constantly come back to. I just love the way she portrays someone who could be so unlikable as someone I would defend with my life. I love the way she weaves family dynamics in such a natural way. No one is all bad or all good, or gets even close to either side! Each character is just REAL.
Just read it! I don't even know how to accurately review it because I love it so much. I feel like all I can say is "Book is good. You should read book."
So just do it!
