In Temporary Forever, young writers, Devon Attaei and Max Wells combine their talents to create a bittersweet collection of poetry inspired by personal events and stories from their favourite authors, such as Anna Todd and Colleen Hoover.
Temporary Forever uses heartfelt poetry, emotional prose, and beautiful original artwork to convey messages of love, heartbreak, loss and identity. ABOUT THE AUTHORSDevon Attaei is a Canadian poet who began sharing her work online with the hope of creating a space for vulnerability and connection through poetry. With encouragement from her growing community of readers, she published her debut collection, Fresh Air & Lilac Perfume.
In 2021, she collaborated with co-author Max Wells on the poetry novel Temporary Forever. Their bestselling collection caught the attention of author Anna Todd and was featured in the Madibaland World Literary Festival. Attaei's first children's book, George the Rabbit, was released in 2024. This heartfelt story, inspired by a song her father used to sing, tells a tale of friendship and emotional growth. After traveling across the country to interview best-selling authors and illustrate novels for poets, Max Wells makes his writing debut as co-author and illustrator of Temporary Forever.
Wells lives in Ontario, Canada, with his husband, too many plants, and a growing pile of novels to read. Before writing his own work, Wells earned a graduate diploma in journalism from Sheridan College, where he interviewed notable figures in the literary and filmmaking worlds. Since then, he has worked as a freelance artist and graphic designer-while dreaming of publishing his own work. It only took a small worldwide pandemic to get him started.
