Alex Comfort wrote the bestselling and oft-reprinted sex manual _The Joy of Sex_. He also tried his hand at fantasy fiction. Naturally, there are undertones of sensuality throughout this New Wave-esque story. But it is not pornographic. This book may be of interest to collectors of the quirky. Alex Comfort uses a fantasy situation to take to task many of what he views to be socital ills and inconsistancies. Much of what he deals with presupposes that Pope (Paradise Lost) and Dante (The Inferno) knew what they were talking about. Moreover, the relationship between the heroine and hero is closely analysed. Strong sexual content.
