"Rupi Kaur is the Writer of the Decade." -- The New Republic

From rupi kaur, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of milk and honey, comes her long-awaited second collection of poetry. A vibrant and transcendent journey about growth and healing. Ancestry and honoring one's roots. Expatriation and rising up to find a home within yourself.

Divided into five chapters and illustrated by kaur, the sun and her flowers is a journey of wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. A celebration of love in all its forms.

this is the recipe of life
said my mother
as she held me in her arms as i wept
think of those flowers you plant
in the garden each year
they will teach you
that people too
must wilt
fall
root
rise
in order to bloom

Awful

This is not poetry, it's pablum. Why not read Robert Frost or Emily Dickinson first?

Beautiful poetry for the soul

From the first page you are drawn in. Rupi Kaur takes you on a journey of self love, sacrifice and rebirth.

Healing and Eye Opening

Really brought me back to when writing fed my soul. An absolute must have.

Yes , go buy this !

A book with wonderful poems , empowering and supportive . I adored it - and it’s also illustrated by the author , so it’s nice to see as you read along.

Best book

This book is so creative, I loved it and have it as decor but I still even read it over and over again just to think about the concepts and situations

Amazing!!

I love 3 of Kaur’s books, they’re all incredible!

I love this book.

Poems on every page that tell a story about heartache and finding love again

Another amazing book from Rupi

Following her last book of poetry, this one also speaks to the soul and is a recommended read for everyone.
