I teach 5th grade in Texas. We had the honor of having Mrs. Shefelman visit our school. Before her visit each teacher read one of the three books in the series. I read Willow Creek Home. What an outstanding story. My students begged for more. I think the book meant more to my students knowing that it was based on one of Shefelman's relatives. Buy all three, you won't be sorry. The other two books are A Paradise Called Texas and Spirit of Iron.
